7 Tips to Reaching Your Audience Through Their Cell Phones

Have you noticed that everyone has a cell phone now?

I mean, even my niece in grade school has a cell phone and this is typical nowadays.

Plus, everyone is so on the go that you almost have to contact them through their cell phones to get a hold of them.

Reach ‘em on the go:
There are some days where I don’t even get a chance to pick up my home phone to call someone or answer for someone. There are days I don’t get a chance to access my computer because I’m running around.

I know I’m busy, but most people are between both parents working, running kids around to school and practices of all kinds, not to mention trying to get to the gym for a workout and visit family or friends intermittently.

Phew, I’m tired just thinking about it…So, it would seem the best way to contact your audience would be in short, quick messages on their cell phones using a platform like Cellit Mobile Marketing.

What’s Important To Know About Marketing on a Cell Phone?

1. Headlines are Important to Get Attention: Why? Because on a cell phone screen there is very limited space. It’s a small screen! This is a physical limitation you will encounter that you simply cannot do anything about…so, work those headlines to get attention.

2. Interest is Most Important: Yes, you got their attention, but it MUST peak their interest to convince them to continue scrolling down or clicking a link to go where you want them to.

3. You MUST Still Run Lead Generation Campaigns: Just because you feel you got the “in” by being able to market to them on their cell phone doesn’t change the rules. If you don’t ask them to give you their email or other info to get more information or to receive a free report or gift, you’re working on a 1-shot deal…They may never look at your messages again, if they’re not of interest to them or giving them something back.

4. Make Sure Your Web Pages are Cellular Friendly: That means, your web pages need to be of a format which makes them readable by cell phones. Yes, your cell message may be perfectly readable, but when you direct them to your website, if they can’t see it or read the text, they’ll leave, probably never to return.

5. Mobile Marketing is a New Form of Marketing: Be the first to use it before others catch on!

6. People are Still People: Follow the AIDA formula for writing copy & ads – grab their attention with a great headline, peak their interest to get them to want more, create a desire for what it is you’re selling them, and always be sure to call for action, whether it be giving an email, clicking a link, or whatever makes sense.

7. Put Your Best Information First: If you don’t, they may not scroll down to read anything else y0u say. Don’t count on the rest of your copy. Each sentence is designed to get them to read the next sentence and then the next, etc.

Cellit has some great features already set up for mobile campaigns like CouponZap for restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Also, House4Cell which is a text-for-info real estate system – this will be super helpful for us and our real estate investing business in Dallas. Awesome!
