Put a Little Direct Response in ALL Your Marketing

If you’re a small business, you should not be focusing on “brand” advertising.

You should be focusing on direct response advertising and marketing.
You should be focusing on marketing and advertising that brings in customers now!
You should be focusing on marketing and advertising that brings in money now!

This is direct response marketing.

It’s marketing and advertising that brings in money, customers and leads now.

It’s measureable. It’s trackable. It creates instant response.

The Branding vs. Direct Response Marketing Myth:

For some reason, people think that just because you market your business in a direct response way that your company is not branded.

Let me ask you this: Would you remember the brand of a company more because you saw their logo stamped on a bill board or a funny commercial, or would you remember it more if you bought their product and it was sitting or being used by you daily at home?

If you’re like most people in this world, you’ll remember the company’s brand if you’ve bought the product and actually spent money with them in the past.

So, what does this mean? That if you focus on generating leads now and on bringing in new customers, then you’ll effectively brand your company and make more money than any other type of advertising that you could possibly do.

I don’t care whether it’s:
Business cards, post cards, flyers, TV ads, radio commercials, classified ads, Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing, press releases or article marketing – or any other kind of marketing and advertising – every piece of marketing material that you produce should be direct response based in nature.

What Should Direct Response Marketing & Advertising Pieces Include?

1. Headline
2. Call to Action
3. Non-threatening way to respond

That’s the minimum requirements of a direct response piece. All direct response marketing should be targeted to a specific individual in your market.

That’s all for today!
